From the OTCB podcast 16 teams by 23-24 season. FW starts for 21-22 season. Will assume that teams 15-16 will begin play right at the 23-24 season giving FW two years to settle in.
I'd expect new team announcements for the 21-22 finals. So any fresh rumors we hear within the next 12 months could very well actually be the next teams.

Are looking for something similar to the ncaa with the crease arc?
In terms of diving I'd be fine if the rule was nothing below the shoulders in the crease. I like dunks and dives but I do find them a bit cheap

I don't know about you guys, I don't see the 'crease dive goal' as spectacular as I once did. Maybe it's that O players are a bit more athletic today...maybe? Might be that rules seem to be a bit more relaxed on making contact with the goal/goalie before the ball crosses the goal line. Not sure, player landing on the goalie's feet just as the ball goes into the net seems a bit anti-climactic. I realize it is still an athletic, gutsy play...but it wouldn't bother me if they tweaked the rule...not saying I got the answer. Like the topic...two cents etc...

Field is a chess game. Box is a barroom brawl. 😎

I always wondered that, field games have lower score , less physical defense , any way under goalie to net ratio. There's the same a mount of players in front of the nets too in box and field

A field goal? In the NLL? No. Unless ya want game scores of 33- 28.

It is a very spicy take but I mean straight up field goalie with 6x6 net (still use the box semi circle crease but maybe enlarge it a bit)
The NLL does not have a lot of high talent goalies but the PLL / MLL have so many high caliber goalies guys like jack Kelly, ward, and Rodgers (getting old now) don't play.
With expansion the goalie position needs to be addressed and the NCAA is a good farm better than cla box.

What do you mean by "field style goalie"? Give examples of field goalies that transitioned well to box.

What would you change about the NLL to make the game better ? This could be anything from player development, team management, rule changes, gameplay changes.
For me unless the NLL can somehow pull in and convert jr. / Echl hockey goalies they should switch to field style goalie. There is no shortage of talent coming out of NCAA but next to no top box goalie prospects.
